Autocad Technician

ATI, a growing MEP consulting engineering and design firm, is presently in search of an Autocad technician. Major duties will include layout and drafting from engineering red lines and markups, quality audit checks, maintenance of cad library, drawing setup, and training of interns and junior drafters. Applicant should have 8-10 years experience. Applicant’s most recent experience must be centered on working with MEP consulting firms and engineering projects. Preferred experience should be with commercial, industrial, healthcare, and educational facilities. Applicant must have a firm understanding of the building trades and assembly of drawing packages.

• Mid-Level Electrical Engineer/Designer.

Desired Skills & Experience

ENGINEERING PROJECT MANAGER:
Major duties will include engineering management and representation during project construction, change order review and negotiation, submittal reviews, and project closeout. Applicant must have 8-10 years experience. Applicant’s most recent experience must be centered on managing multidiscipline, architectural and engineering projects with emphasis on technical field support during construction. Applicant must have had 3-5 years experience designing multi- tenant residential, commercial, industrial, and educational facilities including familiarity with pharmaceutical, healthcare, and hi-tech business facilities. Applicant must have a strong understanding of NFPA and IBC codes. Applicant must have a firm understanding of the building trades, construction management and scheduling. Experience with NYC codes, and experience with mission critical projects are a definite plus

MECHANICAL ENGINEER/DESIGNER:
Applicant must have 5-7 years experience designing multi tenant residential, commercial, and industrial mechanical systems including pharmaceutical, healthcare, and hi-tech business facilities. Applicant must have experience designing and drafting commercial projects, must have a strong understanding of NFPA, IBC codes, and NYC codes, and must have experience performing field survey work in support of preparing detailed design and as-built drawings. Applicant should have knowledge of types and applications of specific mechanical systems, the ability to review and evaluate mechanical systems, the ability to perform engineering calculations such as, heating and cooling load calculations, ventilation loads, humidification loads, air and water pressure losses, and light structural loads. Experience applying experience with standby generation and co-generation systems, are a definite plus.

PLUMBING ENGINEER/DESIGNER:
Applicant must have 5-7 years experience designing multi tenant residential, commercial, and industrial plumbing and piping systems including pharmaceutical, healthcare, and hi-tech business facilities. Applicant must have experience designing and drafting commercial projects; must be proficient in designing hot and cold water distribution systems, sanitary and storm water systems, fuel conveying systems, medical gas conveying systems fire protection systems; must have a strong understanding of NFPA, IBC and NYC codes, must have experience performing field survey work in support of preparing detailed design and as-built drawings. Applicant should have knowledge of various piping system calculations, application and specification such as: air and water pressure drop calculations. Cold and hot water supply requirements, hot water storage, drainage fixture units, and storm water capacities.

ELECTRICAL ENGINEER/DESIGNER:
Applicant must have 5-7 years experience designing multi tenant residential, commercial, and industrial electrical power systems including pharmaceutical, healthcare, and hi-tech business facilities. Applicant must have experience designing and drafting commercial fit-out projects; must be proficient in designing fire alarm systems; must have a strong understanding of NFPA and IBC codes, must have experience performing field survey work in support of preparing detailed design and as-built drawings. Applicant should have knowledge of power system studies and calculations such as: facility load, circuiting, short circuit current, voltage drop/dip, etc. Experience applying NYC codes, and designing standby power systems, are a definite plus.
